Bloomsdale — Bloomsdale spinach is a large, spreading variety with thick, dark green leaves that have a rich, nutty taste. It is slow to bolt and provides a steady harvest. Typically, it is sown in spring and can be replanted in late summer. In milder winter climates, fall plantings yield early spring crops.
Regiment — Regiment is a fast-growing, resilient spinach variety resistant to bolting. It grows vigorously from early spring through the fall, featuring upright, thick, and glossy dark green leaves with a slightly triangular shape.
Indian Summer — Indian Summer spinach is a semi-savoy type that grows well across all seasons. It has flat to slightly curled leaves with a deep green color. The harvest period lasts about seven weeks, and the plant has strong resistance to bolting.
Tyee — Tyee is a hardy spinach that tolerates both heat and cold. It features wrinkled, dark green leaves known for their flavor and nutrition. This variety is suitable for both cooking and fresh salads.
Catalina — Catalina spinach produces crisp, well-shaped leaves perfect for harvesting as baby greens for salads. It has smooth leaves with a mild, nutty flavor and lacks any metallic aftertaste. The plants are vigorous and productive.
Space Spinach — Space spinach has rounded, spoon-shaped dark green leaves that are tender and flavorful. The leaves grow off the ground, keeping them clean. This variety can be eaten raw or cooked and grows well in containers during early spring and late fall.
Red Carnival — Red Carnival spinach has oval to slightly elongated leaves with a rounded arrowhead tip. The leaves are deep green with striking maroon veins and reddish stems. Its taste is similar to traditional spinach but with a mild sweetness and earthy undertone.
Malabar Spinach — Malabar spinach, common in India and tropical areas, features dark green leaves resembling regular spinach. It thrives in hot climates, often above 32°C, and tends to creep during cooler temperatures.
