Archana — A hybrid released by NBRI, Lucknow, Archana is a cross between G. psittacines ‘Sylvia’ and G. ‘Friendship’. It features branched spikes approximately 80 cm long and elegant petals with a central white streak and a primrose yellow blotch in the throat.
Basant Bhar — This variety is a selfed seedling of G. ‘Tunias Challenge’. It has around 14 Empire Yellow florets per spike, speckled with magenta in the throat. Average spike length is around 50 cm.
Gazel — Developed by NBRI through selfing G. ‘White Friendship’, Gazel has a shorter spike (35 cm) and eye-catching fuchsine pink florets with Persian yellow throats.
Jwala — A hybrid of G. psittacines, Jwala produces branched spikes with 14–18 vermilion-colored florets, each adorned with delicate linear streaks.
Manhar — This cross between G. ‘Friendship’ and G. ‘tristis’ features primrose yellow florets with Tyrian Rose splashes. It has one-sided spikes about 60 cm long, with 14–18 florets per spike.
Manisha — Also a result of G. ‘Friendship’ × G. ‘tristis’, Manisha offers pure white florets lightly splashed with Tyrian Rose along the petal margins. Spikes are 60 cm long with 14–16 florets.
Manmohan — This variety produces primrose yellow florets with orchid purple splashes, and has long, one-sided spikes (about 80 cm) with 14–16 florets.
Mohini — Released by NBRI, this variety presents white florets heavily marked with Tyrian Rose. The spikes are around 60 cm long with 12–14 florets.
Mukta — A cross of G. ‘Friendship’ and G. ‘tristis’, Mukta features sulphur yellow florets with irregular orchid purple markings. It has loosely arranged 12–15 florets on 70 cm spikes.
Triloki — This late-season hybrid features two-toned florets—China Rose on the upper half and Primrose Yellow on the lower—with China Rose splashes on the margins. The spikes are about 75 cm long.
Jacksonville Gold — An exotic variety known for its empire yellow florets with ruby red throats. Each spike (68 cm average) holds around 14–16 florets.
White Goddess — Another exotic type, White Goddess has large, white florets with violet-purple blotches in the throat. Branched spikes carry 17–20 florets and measure about 65 cm.
