L-49 (Lucknow-49) A prolific and popular variety, L-49 guavas are greenish-yellow with milky white, sweet pulp. They have a thick shell with soft seeds and are widely cultivated in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Yield: approx. 25 tons per hectare.
Allahabad Safeda A well-known table variety, especially in Uttar Pradesh. These medium-sized, round guavas have white flesh, few seeds, and good shelf life.
Banarasi Primarily cultivated for table use, Banarasi guavas are round, light yellow in color, and grow on trees that reach 4.0 to 5.5 meters in height.
Chittidar Closely resembling the Safeda variety, Chittidar guavas are distinct for their numerous pinkish-red pinhead-sized dots on the fruit surface.
Harijha This variety is known for its sweet taste and greenish-yellow round fruits. Trees reach a height of about 3.5 to 4.5 meters and are sparsely branched.
Red Fleshed These guavas have attractive yellow skin with pink flesh inside. Trees are 3–5 meters tall and produce roundish-oval fruits with a pleasant flavor.
Arka Mridula Derived from open-pollinated Allahabad Safeda seedlings, this variety has smooth yellow skin, white pulp, and is ideal for table consumption.
