PMK 1 — PMK 1 is a high-yielding variety developed through mutation breeding from the H375 line. It produces extra-long fruits ranging from 180 to 200 cm and offers an impressive yield of approximately 25 tons per hectare within 135–140 days.
CO.1 — Derived from germplasm selection, CO.1 bottle gourds are characterized by a prominent bottleneck shape. The fruits are pale green and the variety yields about 25–30 tons per hectare.
Pusa Naveen — Pusa Naveen is known for its straight, long, and light green bottle-shaped fruits. The variety is ideal for transport due to its robust seed quality and reaches harvesting stage in about 60–65 days.
Arka Bahar — Arka Bahar is a popular selection from a local Karnataka collection (IIHR-20). It features vigorous vines with medium-long, straight fruits that are light green and shiny. This variety is widely preferred for its uniformity and appearance.
Summer Prolific Round — This variety is cultivated primarily in the northern hill regions like Himachal Pradesh. It produces round fruits approximately 15–18 cm in diameter, making it unique among bottle gourd types.
Summer Prolific Long — Summer Prolific Long is known for producing elongated fruits measuring 40–50 cm in length. These are exported extensively due to their attractive appearance and good shelf life.
Pusa Manjari — An F1 hybrid between PSPR and Sel.11, Pusa Manjari yields round, light green fruits. It is valued for its hybrid vigor and adaptability.
Pusa Meghdoot — This F1 hybrid (PSPL × Sel.2) is a popular export variety with long, light green fruits. Pusa Meghdoot is recognized for its consistency in shape and high productivity.
Samrat — Samrat produces cylindrical, greenish-white fruits without a crook neck. Each fruit weighs around 700–800 grams and is 30–40 cm in length. The average yield is about 43 tons per hectare, making it a highly commercial variety.
